How Does HoneyFil Work? The Ingredients Doing the Job
HoneyFil relies mostly on vitamin D3 and boron, both present at amounts research has used.
One gummy gives 84 mcg of vitamin D3 and 7 mg of boron, with fenugreek, maca, tribulus and horny goat weed at 100 micrograms each. Vitamin D may help most if your levels are low.

The idea behind the formula
HoneyFil is built the way most men’s performance products are built: vitamin D and boron, which have some connection to hormone markers, plus the four herbs that appear in almost every product in this category.
That design is coherent on paper. What decides whether it works is the amounts, and this label publishes them, so we can go straight to the answer instead of circling it.
| Group | Ingredients | Amount here | Can it do anything at that amount? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vitamin | Vitamin D3 | 84 mcg | Yes, if you are low. This is 420% of the Daily Value |
| Trace mineral | Boron | 7 mg | Possibly. It is in the range small studies have used |
| Electrolyte | Sodium | 10 mg | No. It is a formulation ingredient |
| Botanicals | Fenugreek, maca, tribulus, horny goat weed | 100 mcg each | No. Research uses hundreds of milligrams to grams |
Taking the two real ingredients seriously
It would be lazy to dismiss the whole product, so here is the case for the half of it that is genuinely dosed.
Vitamin D. Deficiency is common, particularly in winter, in older adults, in people who work indoors and in people with darker skin. Low vitamin D affects muscle function and how people feel, and there is observational work linking low levels to lower testosterone, although correcting it in men who are not deficient does not reliably raise anything. If you are low, 84 mcg a day will fix that quickly (NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, “Vitamin D: Fact Sheet for Health Professionals”).
Boron. Small studies, generally at 6 to 10 mg a day for a week or more, have reported changes in free testosterone and oestradiol. The studies are small, short and few, and NIH’s summary is that human evidence for boron’s effects remains limited. At 7 mg this product is at least in that range (NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, “Boron: Fact Sheet for Health Professionals”).
And the four the product is actually sold on
Fenugreek, maca, tribulus terrestris and horny goat weed are the names in the images, the names people search for, and the reason this category exists. Here is where each one stands, and what this label contains.
| Herb | What reviewed sources say | Studied dose | Here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fenugreek | Some small trials on libido and strength; results mixed (National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, “Fenugreek”) | 500–600 mg a day | 100 mcg |
| Maca | Not enough evidence to know whether it helps any condition (National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, “Maca”) | 1.5–3 g a day | 100 mcg |
| Tribulus terrestris | Reviews generally find no effect on testosterone in healthy men (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, “Tribulus terrestris (About Herbs)”) | 250–750 mg a day | 100 mcg |
| Horny goat weed | Limited human evidence; heart cautions at real doses (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, “Epimedium / Horny Goat Weed (About Herbs)”) | Hundreds of mg a day | 100 mcg |
That sliver on the left is the bar. Four extracts at 100 micrograms each come to four tenths of one milligram — less than the weight of a grain of table salt.
Even taking the most generous possible view — that every one of these herbs works as advertised at its studied dose — this product contains between a thousandth and a twenty-thousandth of those doses. There is no reading of the evidence under which 100 micrograms does something that 500 milligrams does.
What actually moves male performance
Moves the needle
- Sleep. Testosterone is made largely during it, and a week of short nights measurably lowers it
- Resistance training, consistently
- Getting body fat into a normal range
- Correcting an actual deficiency, once a blood test has found one
- Treating the conditions underneath: blood pressure, blood sugar, depression, sleep apnoea
- Reviewing medicines with a doctor, since several affect libido and erections
Does not
- A herb at 100 micrograms
- Any supplement, for a diagnosed hormone problem
- Ignoring a symptom that is new or getting worse
- Buying something instead of booking an appointment

More answers on the full FAQ page.
Is HoneyFil a testosterone booster?
The label does not say so. It claims only “supports male performance”. One marketing image says “more test, more gains”, which is a testosterone claim the bottle does not make, and nothing on the panel is a hormone.
Is 100 micrograms a lot?
No. It is a tenth of a milligram. Research on these four herbs uses hundreds of milligrams to grams a day, so 100 mcg is roughly one five-thousandth of a studied amount. All four together come to 0.4 mg.
Why is the vitamin D so high?
We do not know why it was chosen. At 84 mcg it is 420% of the Daily Value and 84% of the 100 mcg adult upper limit. It is the one ingredient in this gummy present in a serious amount.
How long does HoneyFil take to work?
No timeline is published or promised. Given the amounts on the panel, we would not expect the four botanicals to do anything at all, and we would rather say so.
